Ganesh Himal (again)
Apr 22, 2011

Visiting Ganesh Himal in late spring. Opening a school in a village. A very rare Nepal Cultural Experience performance by the villagers. Lots of rhododendron flowers. Trekking up Shingla. Photos taken by Leak Peng.

Shivapuri National Park
Nov 1, 2015

The nearest National Park to Kathmandu. It's full of wildlife - leopards, leopard cats, birds, etc. The first time I actually saw birds of such great numbers in Nepal.

Beware - a lot of photos (especially the landscape ones) are "de-hazed". You won't be able to see the distant objects with your naked eyes :-). Compare PB190183 (Org) vs PB190183.

Nuwakot School and Trekking Begnas & Rupa Lake area

Nuwakot School of the Deaf and Dumb - offers education to children who are deaf and/or dumb. I was assessing whether hearing aids could be provided to them. Begnas and Rupa lakes are in the Langjung area (east of Pokhara). A nice trek into the mountains from where, Annapurna and Manaslu ranges could be clearly seen.
